SEO keeps evolving, but the fundamentals that move rankings have stayed remarkably consistent. Here are seven strategies we actually use on client projects.

1. Fix Technical SEO First

Clean URLs, a working sitemap.xml, a correctly configured robots.txt, fast page load times and mobile responsiveness are the foundation. No amount of content will rank well on a technically broken site.

2. Write for Search Intent, Not Just Keywords

Google's algorithms are very good at understanding what a searcher actually wants. Structure content around answering the real question behind a search query, not just repeating a keyword.

3. Structured Data (Schema Markup)

Adding Organization, Article, FAQ or Product schema helps search engines understand your content and can unlock rich results in the search listings.

4. Internal Linking

Linking related pages together (like this article linking to our services) helps both users and search engines navigate your site, and passes authority between pages.

5. Core Web Vitals

Page speed, visual stability and interactivity are now direct ranking factors. Optimized images, minimal render-blocking scripts and clean CSS all contribute.

6. Original, Regularly Updated Content

Sites that publish genuine, useful content on a consistent schedule are rewarded over sites with thin or stagnant pages. This blog is part of that strategy for our own site.

7. Local SEO Signals

For service businesses, a consistent business name/address/phone number across the web, a complete Google Business Profile, and location-specific content all help local rankings.

SEO is a long game — most of these changes take weeks to months to show up in rankings. If you'd like an audit of where your site currently stands, reach out to our team.
